POSITION ON ISSUES

The LFDA Survey is the primary source for issue positions on this website. Each election season the Live Free or Die Alliance sends a survey on NH issues to every candidate for state office. We make every effort to reach each candidate by snail-mail, e-mail, and phone. If an issue position is still not answered through our survey, we utilize other resources including voting records, candidate websites, campaign fliers, Project Vote Smart surveys, and more. Any questions or suggestions on issue positions? Contact us.

Hi:

As a former town and county chair I wanted to send you my brochure and letter.  I understand the trials and tribulations of being a party leader.  If I can be of help to you and your group, or just want to talk one chair to another.  Give me a shout or email me.

When I was growing up.  America was the land of milk and honey.  There was a pride in the land, pride that you were living in the land of the free and home of the brave.  Factories were humming from one end of the nation to the other.  There was plenty of new construction,  jobs were available, houses of worship were full, communities were clean and neat, people spoke to their neighbors.  When children weren't in school, they were safe playing in their neighborhoods.  People could have a job, a home, a car, an education and yes, go to a relative's home for a holiday dinner.

Slowly, it changed.  It seems that era was only a dream.  Factories are closed, jobs are scarce with many part-time and low paying positions .  We don't know our neighbors, globally we're falling behind in education.  Higher education is unaffordable.  The only industry that seems to get the money is the military industrial complex for wars.  We are told, "Watch out for the big bad terrorist: Better hide under your bed."  Is that what we've come to?  I say it had better not be or we are doomed.  We are Americans, brave and true; tested in the fires of war, depression, recession and difficulties imagined and real.

Our Congress has many good men and women trying to do the right thing for our country; but they are lacking three things that I offer:  LEADERSHIP, GOALS and DIRECTION.  I see the problems and I clearly see the answers, with ideas that work.  But it takes LEADERSHIP, GOALS and DIRECTION to move the American ship of state back to being the great country that I knew and grew up in.  I am running for President of the United States.  My priorities are God, Country and the American People.  Join me in BRINGING AMERICA HOME again.

Thank you,

Steve 'Stoney' Burke
