Judicial Watch Item:

Judicial Watch: 'Special Counsel Mueller's Investigation is Out of Control,' DOJ 'Should Shut It Down'

(CNSNews.com) – Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s alleged collusion with the Trump 2016 campaign and the firing of FBI Director James Comey is “out of control” and should be “shut down” by the Department of Justice, said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

On Twitter, July 2, Fitton said, “Special Counsel Muller’s investigation is out of control” and “DOJ should shut it down.”

On July 5, Fitton tweeted, “At least seven of the 15 lawyers Mueller has brought on to the special counsel team have donated to Dem candidates.”

Also, during a July 3 interview on Fox’s Happening Now, Fitton said, “This is the twelfth -- my count is 14 or 15 -- lawyers they have working on this one investigation to investigate what? An employment dispute between [former FBI Director] Comey and the president? Paul Manafort’s filing of a document or General Flynn’s filing of a document?”

“I don’t understand what this investigation is about,” said Fitton.

Mueller, appointed to lead an investigation into the possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, has put together a team of 15 lawyers to take on the case.

“In terms of government corruption and constitutionality, there are real concerns with how the office is operating,” Fitton continued. “Too many lawyers searching for a crime that there is no predicate for.”

Fitton also pointed out that in addition to the special counsel’s lack of accountability, Mueller has appointed an alarming number of Democratic donors to his team.

“You have all these Democrat donors,” said Fitton. “Are there any Trump donors on the team that Mr. Mueller has hired?”

“You have this appointment of a special counsel who has no day-to-day supervision from a constitutional officer,” he said. “There is no accountability.”

Fitton also made it clear that he is not against a special counsel, but he believes it must be done constitutionally.

“You might be able to have a special counsel or someone designated to do the work but they have to be answerable in a more direct way to the appointee of the Justice Department, which is subject to Senate confirmation,” Fitton explained.

“I want a constitutional special counsel, and if that means going back and reworking the regulations and getting rid of Mueller, so be it,” said Fitton.

Dear President Trump,
The Republican leadership is once again betraying those who elected them with a CR Budget that doesn't fund the wall or increase military spending but does fund Obamacare, Planned Parenthood and everything else Democrats demand. We were told in 2009..."If we had control of the House we can stop Democrat legislation" and they didn't. In 2011 we were told..."If we had control the House and Senate we can stop Democrat legislation" and when it came to using the power of the purse the Republican leadership once again kowtowed to the Democrats. In 2015 we were told "If we had control of the House, Senate and Presidency we will repeal and replace Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood, increase military spending and build the wall" and again we see the Republican leadership falling in lockstep with the Democrats desires. Mr President, how much betrayal do we need to see before realizing that the Republican leadership are just Democrats in action but not words. I encourage you to do everything in your power to change out the Republican leadership with true conservatives and patriots who have the good of our country at priority one. I supported you and all the Republican Senators and Representatives who were up for election in 2016. Starting in 2018, I will do everything I can to ensure the RINO's who are undermining your plans and continue to betray the American people who put them in office are weeded out and the RNC machine that continues to support their ilk doesn't see another penny for yours truly. DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!

If we dont do something about the round up ready foods that are being fed to our nation and the chemicals being sprayed on the people then we will not have to worry about the terrorists because we are being terrorized from within

We need a secure border. I don't believe Mexico is going to pay for it. How about making an open invitation to everyone to sponsor the wall whatever length a person or corporation can pay? I am sure there will be tremendous response from people and organizations that are willing to sponsor some money for this. It will be a way to show patriotism.

President Trump,.. just a quick thought. I'm no expert or specialist, but why wont you and your cabinet, review the last several executive orders former President Obama signed, find out which one he used to allow inter-agencies to have all this raw data on you and yours and rescind it? That would be the first logical step in stopping all this leaking going on in your agencies and in your administration. Then do a agency by agency clean sweep of all left over Obama operatives and loyalists. Just saying. Thank you for your time.

President Donald Trump: Would you be willing to give Leonard Peltier in the Federal Pen in Clearview , Florida a full Presidential Pardon so he can go home to his family on the Lakota Nation? He has been in prison far too long and is in bad health. It would mean a great deal to the native people to have this happen, Then he could have his dream and die with his people in his own nation. Thank you Mr. President, I believe in my heart that you will be the President that would be willing to do this. Also I believe you could make it possible for the pipeline to be laid on the border at the same time the wall is being built and both countries could benefit from the revenue. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to think about it. God Bless you and give you all you need as you serve this country during your term

We all know legal and illegal Hispanic immigration has been occurring for many years because of our United States economic opportunities. Why haven't we given our neighboring countries south of our border more of the business that we've handed over to China? Bolstering the economies in countries nearby will develop interdependent economies in the future. These people (our neighbors) are just trying to survive. If we must find cheaper labor hire our neighboring countries. This could be an automatic fortification of our southern border. Make Mexico great instead of China and then America will be great again. We've sent so much of our technology away to that distant land. We could keep our grip and perpetuate our innovations when we do business next door. I would rather keep our industries here in the U.S. but companies will always seek to maximize profits at the expense of our own citizens. Capitalism does have it's challenges. Cultivate a great economic relationship with Mexico and the Mexican people and share the prosperity that this country worked so hard to achieve in a mutually beneficial way. A way that perpetuates the prosperity we've been blessed with and spill it over to Mexico.

Sir: While Flynn made a big mistake which cost his job, before liberals attack Trump for security lapses, please point out to them (and the pubic) that Jeh Johnson and 3 of his top officials have just been found to have used unsecured email systems, thereby endangering our secrets. Do not stop immediate responses to these attacks by hysterics.
Watch tape of Tucker Carlson last night. The lady (a teacher) who attacked a Trump supporter presented the very meaning of what projection is. She was as close to the many labels (Nazi, fascist, etc.) as I've seen and she is totally unaware that she is projecting that which she supposedly abhors. Please start pounding liberals for what they are doing since they seem incapable of recognizing what hypocrites they are and what anti-free speech supporters they are. They are truly dangerous for this country and their violence need to be firmly and permanently addressed.
Thank you.
