Texas law requires high schools to provide voter registration applications to eighteen year-old students.

School administrators must pass out registration paperwork at least twice per year.

Supporters of the law argue that it is a great way to educate new voters and get them involved in elections.

Opponents of the law argue it is a burden on schools, and question the cost and logistics of training school employees to register new voters.
