On Thursday, February 23 the New Hampshire Senate passed SB 144, a bill that would give doctors more leeway when recommending medical marijuana for a patient.

On Tuesday, April 11 a Senate committee will host a public hearing on HB 640, a bill to decriminalize marijuana.

Gov. Chris Sununu signed HB 640, decriminalizing the possession of three-quarters of an ounce or less of marijuana for residents over age twenty-one.  That makes possession a similar offense to a speeding ticket.

The new law takes effect in 60 days.
