The company has held five meetings recently in the communities that would be affected by the pipeline.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission held a meeting in Nashua seeking input from stakeholders on the proposed Tennessee Gas Pipeline, unofficially known as the ‘Kinder Morgan Pipeline”. The FERC held the meeting to get feedback from stakeholders as they craft an official environmental impact statement for the project.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is holding public hearings on a proposed natural gas pipeline in southern New Hampshire this week. The Kinder Morgan pipeline would run eighty miles through New Hampshire, if approved.

The New Hampshire Attorney General and several other state agencies are filing for “intervenor status” in the federal approval process for the proposed Kinder Morgan pipeline.

On Wednesday, April 20 Kinder Morgan announced it was suspending the Northeast Energy Direct pipeline through southern New Hampshire.

Kinder Morgan said too few natural gas shippers and buyers agreed to purchase space on the pipeline.

The pipeline also faced public opposition due to the potential negative impacts on the environment and property values.
