Global Tipping Points: Hot, Hungry Planet

The World Affairs Council is partnering with UNH Manchester's homeland security, history, humanities and politics, and society programs to present "Global Tipping Points: Hot, Hungry Planet" on Tuesday, October 17, at 6:00 pm at UNH Manchester. The event is free and open to the public; advance registration is requested via email or by phone at 603.314.7970.

As part of this three-part series on current world affairs, journalist Lisa Palmer will discuss how the planet's scarce resources will keep up. Palmer has traveled the world documenting the cutting-edge innovations of people on the front lines of fighting the food gap. She will share the story of the epic journey to solve the imperfect relationship between two of our planet’s greatest challenges: climate change and global hunger, as chronicled in her new book, Hot, Hungry Planet.
