Create right to sue for PFAS cleanup
Summary:
Creates a new right to sue over PFAS contamination so that the state could sue any spiller of hazardous waste/materials, including PFAS, for cleanup. This bill would also allow a property owner to sue for point of entry treatment or connection to a public water system.
The House amended the bill to add the text of HB 1115. That bill adds the expiration of the term of the lease or tenancy as grounds for an eviction. The Senate must approve this addition.
